ILLUME has an opening for a Systems Administrator. As a Systems Administrator you will collaborate with other members of the Information Technology department to support all aspects of the IT Systems Infrastructure. Candidates must be highly motivated and will be required to respond to and provide resolutions to problems on a timely basis. This position involves the planning, configuring, managing, monitoring, and troubleshooting of a variety of IT systems.

Key Accountabilities

  • Install, configure and maintain IT infrastructure.
  • Ensure system uptime and availability for the entire company.
  • Coordinate with IT analyst team to maintain business applications.
  • LMA (Lead + Manage + Accountable)
  • Maintain a high level of security in IT systems.

Duties and Responsibilities

Install, configure and maintain IT infrastructure.

  • Maintain existing VMWare hypervisor infrastructure, including the hosts and SAN.
  • Design and implement hardware and software replacements as necessary for all IT infrastructure including VMWare, VEEAM, Windows Servers, Microsoft MSSQL Server and the hardware required to run these systems.
  • Maintain existing Office 365 infrastructure and all third-party extensions.
  • Ensure employee equipment is appropriate for their role and duties and maintain a proper hardware lifecycle.

Ensure system uptime and availability for the entire company.

  • Maintain proper onsite and offsite backups.
  • Ensure all backup systems are routinely tested and working.
  • Document and maintain a business continuity plan in case of disaster.
  • Respond to and resolve time critical problems that prevent critical business segments from operating.

Coordinate with IT analyst team to maintain business applications.

  • Ensure core business systems (ERP and WMS) are functioning from a connectivity and runtime standpoint.
  • Work with IT analyst team to ensure backend databases and scripts are properly maintained.

LMA (Lead + Manage + Accountable)

  • Manage the Desktop Support Technician role and ensure they are properly trained to perform their duties.
  • Ensure help desk tickets are being resolved are being properly prioritized and handled in a timely manner by the help desk team.
  • Maintain the help desk system (Freshservice) and ensure other departments are using the system properly.
  • Meet with direct reports on a regular basis to discuss, prioritize and assign work and projects.
  • Write and facilitate quarterly performance reviews in partnership with the Director of IT.

Maintain a high level of security in IT systems.

  • Ensure employees are given the appropriate level of access given their role and duties.
  • Ensure all firewalls, anti-virus, anti-malware, and any other security software is kept up to date.
  • Perform routine audits of IT systems access and accounts.

Skills & Knowledge Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Associate degree in Information Technology with 2 years of related experience, or 4+ years professional IT experience required.
  • 4+ years' experience maintaining Windows Server systems (AD, File Shares, DNS, DHCP, etc.
  • 3+ years' experience maintaining VMWare Hypervisor systems
  • 3+ years' experience maintaining SAN infrastructure.
  • 2+ years' experience maintaining VEEAM backup systems.
  • 2+ years' experience maintaining Microsoft 365 cloud environment (Exchange, Onedrive, Teams)
  • Microsoft SQL server experience preferred.
  • Macola ERP experience preferred.
  • WiSys WMS experience preferred.
